ok here we go! This is a great sleeping bag. I am 6 foot 2 and 220lbs. I decided to pull the trigger on this after I read all the reviews and looked on youtube about this sleeping bag. I would like to say if you are my height and have broad shoulders you can get this sleeping bag still. The extra 6 inches of space they give you with the extra fabric and zipper is fantastic. I love the fabric and olive color. This will be my go to bag now. The only drawback for this sleeping bag and this is why I dropped it a star is because the hood is kind of small. I love a sweatshirt kind of hood that fits my whole head in it with room to spare. ALL sleeping bag hoods so far are too small and annoying trying to get it up on my head. But whatever I can live with it. The zippers are good for this sleeping bag. All in all i would def recommend it for my friends. I used this sleeping bag in 53 degree weather in Ohio. Was 75 and dropped to 53 and rained all night and was comfy warm in my tent. Looking forward to using this in 30 degree weather and see if it handles the cold good. I heard it does so. I give this 4 stars with a must have in your bug out kit or camping gear...1 more thing the compression sack is great! Sleeping bag fits in there real good. Not tight at all. Ok I am doing another review had this bag for awhile now and had the weather dropped to 39 degrees and I was warm! So I still highly recommended this product! This is still my main sleeping bag. If you want a summer bag I highly recommend snugpak jungle blanket! Great for summer warm nights! Even has a mosquito net! This bag is amazing the extended panel for the zipper makes it worth it’s weight in gold. I can sleep and not fell the bag squeeze me like normal bags. It's super warm I used it only in Syria in a light fighter tent without any issues in the winter months. Well in the 20s, and when it was colder or at least felt that way I added the jungle bag for extra insulation and it was more than enough. I recommend all snugpak gear I’m 5-10 and I fit great in the bag packs up way smaller than army issue gear weighs less as well .The pictures you see are in the big tents (without heat) different times of the year ,and in the light fighter tent early fall winter I added the jungle bag just for safe measures in the late winter coldst months so I could get a full night of sleep jsut to be safe . Any questions or concerns hit me up I'll respond asap. This a really good cold weather bag. It is well made, and somewhat light. Of course you can get lighter bags but that will drive the cost up exponentially. So, for the price this is a great option that will do the job. I took it out on an over nighter whose temperature reached a low of 25 degrees F. I am 1) older 46 yrs old, and 2) larger athletic framed fella 6' 0" 255lbs, With that said I must admit that I was a bit chilly and had to sleep with 2 pairs wool socks and my down sweater because the bag was a big too snug for me to feel comfortable zipping all the way up (3-4 inches left to zip). The bag has a built in zipper expansion that would be of good benefit to some campers. Honestly I think temperature ratings should take age into consideration because the ability to generate internal heat drastically decreases as we age. So, a 15 degree sleeping bag used by a 25 year old will likely not be as warm to a 46 year old. Moving forward I would not sleep in any weather below 30 degrees in this bag.Ultimately, I will save up for a ZPacks 900 down fill bag/quilt, for the lighter weight, and packability.Until then I will continue to use this very good sleeping bag on my camping trips. It is a very good bag, packs small, and is fairly light weight. I recommend it.Not a super lightweight bag, but this also isn't $200. I've been using this bag in my hammock during the past few weeks in socal. Temps have been in the low 40's into the high 30's during the night & I have gotten hot a couple of times. I've only used this in the 20's one time in my tent & I needed to add my blanket, which was perfect. I'm giving this product 5/5 stars because this thing is perfect for cold nights. However, the stuff sack that is included is terrible. The added strap "retainers" on the stuff sack really complicate tightening & loosening the straps completely, so I removed them. I really liked the added zipper on the bag in order to make the bag roomier.Very happy with it, although the temperature rating is quite off, but that's how sleeping bags advertise they put the lowest survivable temperature. One might be comfortable in it at 35f/2.5c and upanything lower than that and you're going to have to bring a liner, a blanket, inner sleeping bag etc. 23f is just survivability. Always judge you're comfortability 15f to 20f degrees above the stated rate.Packs up easy, packs up small. Very comfortable with some substance to the bag. My favorite part is the reflectatherm. I could feel the heat reflecting back heating my legs. I loved it. In its compression sack it fits perfect in the sleeping bag compartment in an osprey took 65 backpack. I like snugpak.Last night i used this bag for the first time for a hammock overnight camp. The temperature got down to 24 Fahrenheit and I stayed nice and toasty. In fact I pulled my wool socks off around 2 am to cool down. The bag compression is pretty good for a synthetic sleeping bag. I did use a sleeping pad with a R value of 4.4. I did not use the bag in a conventional way. Rather then shuffling around in the hammock to get in the bag I left it unzipped and kept my feet in the footbox and then tucked the bag around me (much easier way to do it in a hammock). Based on my results I excited to see what it will do in colder weather. This bag is a great value. I'm use you could get a better bag but it will cost youUsed this about half a dozen times so far, i use a hammock and its kept me nice and warm. Also on 1 occasion i fell out my hammock drunk and didnt wake until morning, lying on the ground in just the snugpak. Was still lush and warm. Temp at the time was about 2°C.Im 6ft and just over medium build and it fits me nice. Its lightweight and packs down to a canny size. This sleeping bag was meant to be quite large I can only close it up into the middle bomb map of my chest no what's the money I paid for it I wouldn't recommend buying this sleeping bagExcellent sleeping bag, I used it last night in the lake district and it dropped to - 3 and I was lovy and warm.Bought this for my son after some cold nights with his previous bag. Well made. Bulky in comparison to down but avoids allergy issues and maintains better thermal properties if wet. Zip issues in earlier reviews seem to have been sorted. Kept him warm and happy.Bought for my niece. I know these are good from my Army time.
